Safe Conversations Workshop for Parents presented by Clay and Sonja Arnold
April 17 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm CDT$99.00 – $198.00
Even in the best of times, parenting is a juggling act. Throw a global pandemic into the mix—along with the fear, uncertainty, and isolation that comes with it—and you’re suddenly juggling while teetering across a tightrope.
Clearly the pandemic has impacted all of our lives, but the lives of parents and children have interactions, and reduced access to playgrounds and the like. With all the togetherness you would think our families would grow closer and more connected. Yet to often, many people are finding just the opposite is happening. Research has shown that effective communication where all parties are feeling seen and heard are sorely lacking in our homes and with extended families.
This interactive workshop for parents will:
- Teach you how to listen in a way that creates a safe space and encourages your children of all ages to talk
- Discover the uniqueness of your children and yourself
- Uncover the opportunities for connection
Clay and Sonja Arnold will guide you through a heart-focused workshop where you will learn to connect and nurture your relationships, increasing your joy and reducing anxiety. The Arnold’s have been married for 41 years and best friends for 43, with 4 grown children and 3 grand babies. As marital experts and relational coaches, they have learned to manage the twists and turns of life and help couples understand the importance of connection in any relationship.
You can attend this workshop with your child age 15 and up, with your partner to learn the skills together or as an individual (you will be paired with another participant to practice the exercises.)
You’ll receive the Zoom link after registration. Safe Conversations® offers relationship education, not therapy. The information in Safe Conversations® materials or workshops is not intended as medical advice or a substitute for treatment by a qualified healthcare provider.
