Business Development Leader

Position Summary:

The Business Development Leader will be responsible for breaking open new markets for Quantum Connections. S/he will bring the consultative selling competencies required to drive new client opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and meet or exceed company revenue and profitability targets.


  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership to develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Communicate sales performance to ensure team is informed on progress to goals.
  • Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
  • Understand industry-specific trends and opportunities.
  • Communicate with clients and prospective clients to identify and understand their needs and sell products and services to meet those needs.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
  • Work with our operations team to ensure client satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
  • Oversee resolution of any client challenges in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with clients, alerting them of new products, and enhancements that align to their specific needs.
  • Maintain detailed sales pipeline reports, including prospect communication, closed-won business, closed-lost business, and client relationship challenges.
  • Provide consistent sales forecast presentations.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and encouragement to the staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of five (5) years consultative selling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with prospective and current clients.
  • Must demonstrate consultative sales and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to persuasively communicate the story and value of Quantum Connections’ offerings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative, independent, and strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a confident and driven self-starter who is able to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Must possess technological proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Hubspot proficiency strongly preferred.

  • Recruit, develop, and grow additional sales team members upon successful performance of responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit at a desk and complete phone or computer work in blocks of time.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally.
  • Must be able to lift and move paperwork, files, and computer equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit; use hands to handle objects/operate keyboards; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch; talk and hear.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and available for possible light travel.
