Through the Guilford County Healthy Relationships Initiative (HRI; www.guilfordHRI.org), a group of about 15 mental health professionals are nearing completion of the Safe Conversations Facilitator Training Program in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The mission of HRI is to promote happy, healthy and safe relationships of all kinds in Guilford County, and Safe Conversations is one of the core educational programs that will be offered through the initiative. In addition to workshops that will be offered through our locally-trained professionals, we have been fortunate to have two workshops facilitated by Harville and Helen. Most recently, they facilitated a workshop that was a signature event during the official community launch of HRI in February 2017.
In the coming year, HRI will offer a series of Safe Conversations workshops for community residents, and our team looks forward to seeing how the Safe Conversations model will have a positive impact on our community.
